DTCA Inc. is a custom manufacturing and assembly corporation committed to enriching the East Central MN community by providing employment and donating to local causes. The company was founded in 2011 with the belief that business has a large role to play in making local communities a better place to work and enjoy life.

Peter Troolin serves as president of DTCA Inc. Because the owners—including Peter—are long-time residents of the Cambridge area, they have a passion for seeing the community thrive. DTCA was born out of a men’s group consisting of six individuals with diverse and complementary skills. As Peter relates, “Starting this company is our attempt at giving back what we have so graciously been given. While the “Great Recession” has taken a toll on individuals and charity organizations alike, DTCA hopes, in small, but incremental ways, to push back against these financial forces.”

When asked about the company’s name, Peter said, “DTCA stands for Dare to Come Alive. It was the theme of a men’s retreat we put on a couple years ago, and we thought it really captured our mission/vision for what we hope to do with the business. Many of the owners of the business are entrepreneurially minded, and starting a business to help the community, while requiring some risk, makes our hearts come alive.”

The men behind DTCA Inc. believe in the mission and leadership of Our Response. Their company sponsored the Our Response “Summer Shindig” event held at the Anoka-Ramsey Community College last summer, which featured two outdoor concerts, door prizes, great food, and activities for kids. Peter and his family also sponsor a Rwandan child named Jenine.
