World Vision Experience Arrives September 16–20

August 28, 2015 | Janie

Follow Jesus into the Margins

World Vision’s new 20-minute mobile exhibit will arrive soon! From September 16–20, Our Response will host the World Vision Experience in the parking lot of Cambridge First Baptist Church. Though smaller in scale than Step into Africa, the purpose for this state-of-the-art truck remains the same: to bring attention to global poverty and alleviate suffering through child sponsorship. We are delighted that sponsorship will focus on the children of Kivuruga, Rwanda.

During the 8-hour shifts that the walk-through exhibit is open, volunteers will be needed to help with a number of details, such as handing out headsets. If you would like to get involved, just head on over to the volunteer sign-up site. You can also contact Steve Fredlund at or call 651.587.5435.

And, of course, please plan to visit the truck and bring your friends and family! Tickets are free and walk-ups are welcome, but why not register for your front-of-the-line pass now for yourself and your friends right here.

Two Great Concerts Coming Soon!

| Janie

Two very special concerts are headed our way, one in the fall and one during the holiday season.

Our Response Celebration with Tonic Sol-Fa

Updated photo

Tonic Sol-Fa is an a cappella (no instruments), nationally renowned quartet that has been described by the The New York Times as “a vocal kaleidoscope…unique to the human voice.” TSF lead singer Shaun Johnson has travelled to Rwanda with Our Response, which makes Shaun and his crew well-suited to help celebrate OR’s impact in Rwanda these past five to six years. Don’t miss the fun at the Cambridge Performing Arts Center on October 17, at 7:00 pm.

Tickets are now on sale for $22. Discount codes are available if you are a former trip team member or attend a church that has partnered with us for the World Vision Experience: New Hope, First Baptist, Pine City Evangelical Free, Oxlip Evangelical Free, River of Life, Immanuel of Forest Lake, or Lakeside. If your church is not listed, but you want to pursue partnership, please get in touch.

Jason Gray Christmas Stories Tour

Because no one has been requested more often for a return concert than Jason Gray, we are thrilled to have him come back as part of the Jason Gray Christmas Stories Tour sponsored by World Vision.  December 5 will be another great night at the Cambridge Performing Arts Center! Tickets are on sale now with the same discounts available as those mentioned for Tonic Sol-Fa.
