There is so much to learn and understand about the battle against global poverty, disease and suffering. Over the past several decades, much has been learned about how to become involved in a way that not only provides short-term relief, but also brings long-term sustainable transformation. World Vision has been on the forefront of this change; getting involved in specific communities and developing plans that lead to sustainability in 12-15 years.
Much has been written about the severity of the issues that are facing so much of the world. At Our Response, we say that one of the truths in this world is that much of the world lives in a constant state of emergency. The following link is to the “Child Health Now” report that helps us understand the magnitude of the situation and the need for us to get involved.
