Several organizations have what is known as a “Corporate Matching” program. They way these work are the companies will match a certain dollar amount of donation to a non-profit; this is an excellent way to double the funds you plan to donate to a non-profit. Some companies also have a foundation or other program that will make a donation to non-profits to recognize your volunteer activity.
